EMDEF is a registered young women led non-profit organization that is committed to empowering marginalized children, girls and young women by promoting their education, health and economic status.
EMDEF uses advocacy and service delivery interventions to address social economic issues and other challenges that hinder individuals and communities from reaching their full potential in development.
Our Objectives
A society in which women, girls and children are free from injustices and where every individual enjoys their rights
To empower the marginalized children, girls and women by promoting their education, health and economic status
- To reduce barriers to access quality education in schools and improve learning outcomes among students
- To improve access to water, sanitation and hygiene services in schools, health facilities and communities in need
- To enhance agricultural skills and improve livelihoods among youth and women through sustainable farming practices and entrepreneurship.
- To increase access to information and services on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), HIV/AIDS, Mental health and Gender Based Violence (GBV) among youth and women
- To enhance youth and women participation in decision making processes for good governance and democracy at community and national level
- Registered under Companies Limited by Guarantee
- Affiliated by Council for Non-Governmental Organisations in Malawi (CONGOMA) and NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA)-pending
